We want Riffmix to work for as many people as possible. This page says plainly what we've checked, what we found, and what we haven't gotten to yet — a claim we can't back up doesn't belong here.
The short version
- This website targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA, checked with real tooling — not by eye.
- Every page has exactly one main heading, in the right order, with nothing skipped.
- The support form's fields carry real screen-reader labels, not just visual ones next to them.
- Dark mode follows your device's setting automatically.
- One large-display color pairing sits close to the passing line — we say exactly where, below.
- The Riffmix app itself hasn't been assessed yet; everything on this page covers the website only.
What this covers
This page is about this website. Riffmix the app runs on iOS 17 and later only — there's no web version of the app and no Android version. If you're using assistive technology on another platform, Riffmix doesn't have anything for you yet.
Color and contrast
We measured contrast across both the light and dark themes with real tooling, not by eye. Body text measures between 4.8:1 and 18.6:1 depending on the pairing — comfortably past the 4.5:1 that WCAG AA asks for.
One exception: a large hero heading uses our accent orange (#F0501E) on our cream background (#F1EBDF) at 52px, bold. At that size, WCAG's threshold for large text is 3:1 — this pairing measures 3.013:1. It passes, but only just, and we're not going to pretend it's comfortably clear of the line. It's display-size heading text rather than body copy, which is why the larger threshold applies — but it carries real meaning, so we're reviewing the colour rather than leaving it where it landed.
Structure and screen readers
Every page on this site has exactly one main heading, and the headings underneath it step down in order — you'll never be jumped past a level to find your place.
Dark mode
This site follows your device's light or dark setting automatically. There's currently no separate switch inside the site to override that — if you want a different theme than your system's, change it at the device level for now.
The support form
Every field on our support form carries a real, programmatic label — not just visible text placed near it. We confirmed this directly against the accessibility tree that screen readers and other assistive technology actually read, not just by looking at the page.
Motion
We're designing with people who prefer reduced motion in mind. A future animated hero — a spinning disc — will honor your system's reduce-motion setting once it ships. It isn't live yet, so there's nothing to claim about it today.
The iOS app
Everything above is about this website. The Riffmix app itself — VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Switch Control, audio description — hasn't been assessed yet. That work is happening separately, and we'll document it here once it has. We'd rather say "not yet checked" than let silence read as "checked and passed."
Tell us what we missed
If something here isn't accessible, or you hit a barrier anywhere on this site, we want to know. Our support form is built for exactly that — choose "This website" under "Where did this happen?". It isn't switched on yet, though, so nothing filed there reaches us today, and there's no support email address either. Until the form goes live, this site has no working way to reach us, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Changes to this page
We'll update this page, and the date below, whenever what's actually true changes — a fix ships, a gap closes, or something new needs testing.
