Terms of Use
Last updated September 25, 2026
These terms cover using Riffmix and publishing a Riffmix for others to hear. They're meant to be read, so we've kept them short and in plain language.
Agreeing to these terms
By using Riffmix, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Who Riffmix is for
Riffmix is not directed to children under 13. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use it, especially before publishing a Riffmix or setting a maker name — both make something visible to other people.
Your Riffmixes belong to you
You own what you make. A Riffmix you create is yours.
When you publish a Riffmix, you give Manolab, LLC permission to host, store, and serve it to anyone who requests it. That permission lasts as long as the Riffmix stays published, and ends when you unpublish it — though a copy may briefly remain in a cache or backup.
You're responsible for what you publish. Don't publish anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
Remixing
Riffmix lets you remix a Riffmix someone else published. A remix is a new, independent Riffmix that's entirely yours to publish, change, or delete — but it will always carry a credit back to the Riffmix, and the maker, it came from.
Acceptable use
When using Riffmix, please don't:
- Publish anything illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Impersonate another person or maker.
- Try to access, disrupt, or overload our servers beyond ordinary use of the app.
- Use someone else's device, iCloud account, or private key without their permission.
- Choose a maker name that's abusive, impersonates someone else, or otherwise breaks these rules.
Moderation
Our Privacy Policy describes flagging: a published Riffmix or maker name that's flagged enough times is automatically hidden while we review it.
We may also remove, hide, or refuse to serve any published Riffmix or maker name, and may limit or block a device's or key's ability to publish, if we believe it violates these Terms — with or without notice.
Copyright concerns
If you believe a published Riffmix infringes your copyright, the form on our Support page is the route — send enough detail to identify the content and your rights in it, and we'll investigate and remove it if the claim is warranted. The form isn't switched on yet, so nothing filed there reaches us today.
Purchases
Riffmix doesn't currently sell anything — there are no subscriptions and nothing to buy inside the app. If that ever changes, we'll update these Terms and the App Store listing first, and any purchase will be handled entirely by Apple's App Store — we never see your payment information.
Services we rely on
Publishing and hosting a Riffmix runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Sync runs entirely through your own iCloud account, managed by Apple. Neither has any independent right to your content beyond what's needed to provide their service to us.
No warranty
Riffmix, and anything published through it, is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and we aren't responsible for content that other people publish or remix.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Manolab, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Riffmix.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Riffmix changes. We'll update the date below when we do, and continuing to use Riffmix after a change means you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
